It is not me in that ad, I'm sad to say. I probably auditioned for it, though. And I hate sharing stalkers.

I just realized the joking tone I meant above might not translate. I'm not Todd's stalker, my obsessive Misery-like love is reserved for the Pigs as a whole.

Well, if the movie Hatchet was in fact a how to make excellent gore effects without using CGI type of movie (didn't Tom Savini make a few of those kind of videos in the 90's, or am I confusing him with Joe Blasco?), then I would say Hatchet was incredible. As far as comparing it to an actual horror film that is supposed to be, occasionally, scary, maybe even, good, then, no, it was a disappointment. I am curious about Let The Right One In, in spite of what the sages at EW say about it, and if Mr. Weinstein ever gets around to releasing All The Boys Love Mandy Lane, I'll be curious about that too.

I have heard about Splinter. And another one called Eden Lake sounds pretty good. Neither are playing anywhere near me. When you say you can't get excited after Hatchet, do you mean it was a huge disappointment or so incredible you can't imagine anything else standing up?

Heard anything about Splinter? It's in a theatre tomorrow and on some HD channel that I don't get. It's hard to get excited about limited release low budget horror films after seeing Hatchet.
