A fan asked us via a passionate email to go see the new Ghost Rider film, he felt it was perfect synergy given our love of Nic Cage line readings. And while there were two very bizarre and lovely moments of Cagey acting, there was another eighty-eight minutes of movie around them. Needless to say, Steve Falk got very, very fussy.

As a fan of Ghost Rider and of comics in general I’m kind of bummed that the movie doesn’t sound very good, even though I never really expected it to be. Goddamn shame.
I was secretly hoping this Ghost Rider was going to have the level of insanity that drove the Crank movies. Unfortunately, it’s mostly boring due to a lazy script that seems to have no rules governing what the Ghost Rider can and can’t do.
And even though I’m a comic book fan too, I have no idea how or why Ghost Rider was green lit over other characters audiences would have an easier time relating to. I mean, really? Let’s do Ghost Rider instead of Dr. Strange or Power Man & Iron Fist?
Oh how I would love a Heroes For Hire movie.
