He’s a joy to watch on the ALIEN DVD special features. So bitter and curmudgeonly, but completely endearing at the same time.

What a sad loss, I know of his excellent contribution to the Alien movie, but for me he will always be Sgt. Pinback fighting that inflatable balloon alien in the elevator shaft, pure Sci-Fi magic.
I was only reading an article about him the other day where he mused about eventually publishing his memoirs about screenwriting, it’s especially sad if it takes his passing for them to finally see print.
