Shyamalan has only had two outright flops – LADY IN THE WATER and AFTER EARTH. All his other movies – THE VILLAGE (4X its budget) and THE HAPPENING (3X its budget) included – made money, which is why, regardless of ire of the Internet haters, he will continue to make films.
THE VISIT just made 5X its budget on its opening weekend so it’s safe to stay it isn’t the last we’ve seen of Shyamalan.
Can’t you do something about this? Maybe don’t smite him, but just fill his camera equipment with locusts on his next project or something?
Believe me, I’d love to. But you can’t imagine the amount of red tape involved.
